It was late Friday when we decided to go out for a home depot run. I had been organizing my closet (i found $300 in the process :O) that day and wanted to get more shelves. While we were out we ended up getting a tree. This was not on my list of things to do, i didn’t even have my camera, but Home Depot prices were amazing and they had beautiful trees. When we were loading it in the car I figured we wouldn’t start decorating until Saturday because it was so late, but I had to go get the tree stand from the attic anyway so I brought down all the Christmas decorations and we went for it. It makes me so happy to know that I can now share that with my children. The girls love doing it and it’s obvious by the mass of ornaments on the bottom. We still have more to decorate in the house, but I have loved having the magical glow of the Christmas tree lighting up our home each night. Why not enjoy every moment while you can.
So have you decorated yet? If not when do you plan to?
I can’t believe you already have your tree up! That’s awesome.
I am kind of sad we won’t have a tree this year– it is kind of hard to justify the expense when we will be going to Utah for the holidays. I have not had a tree in my home since I moved out of my parent’s home to go to college six years ago. Maybe next year.
I have been wondering where you were…The picture is cute- your tree looks great! We plan to do ours this upcoming weekend. Linc is totally against decorating before Dec 1st. I can’t wait though.
This photo is so amazing!!!!
Amy your tree looks so beautiful. I am big on decorating for Christmas on the day after Thanksgiving. I am not sure why, probably because that is when my mom always did it. So needless to say, but I will say it anyway, my halls are decked.
Congrats on finding $300 by the way. What a happy accident!
I still can’t believe you found $300 and a bunch of gift certificates in your closet! That’s unreal.
The photo is beautiful.
oh to have a closet like yours! what wonderful findings!
we have our tree up but it is bare. we also have our stockings up and a couple of things here and there, but not finished yet. it’s so very fun. i just love it. and am so excited for christmas this year. how fun to get your tree and just decorate spontaneously like that. i like your picture.
did it tonight! I just love it! awesome picture by the way- why didn’t I think of taking a picture of the action??????
How did you get that photo? Amazing.
Our tree is decorated, but we still have to do the rest. I am loving the glow of the lights. When we get our tree up, I always wonder how we lived without it.
I seriously need to get me a closet like yours…
Michelle I’m just like you. I always wonder how I live without the tree lights for the rest of the year. I think I’m in a slight depression when it’s time to take them down.
I took the photo using a tripod.
wow what a magnificent foto, I am seriously thinking I have the worst camera on the planet. your tree looks fabulous…and i have been debating whether to decorate or not, came back from utah, and there is a huge mess and we are leaving on the 13 so I am perplexed with a decision….yours looks wonderful!
