This has become part of our holiday tradition. It’s something I really look forward to. It’s so nice my sister is here so her family can do it with us, but I really miss having Chris and his family help who are in CA. See more photos here.

I’m so grateful these times have become happy teaching moments instead of sad times.
Merry Christmas! May your holiday be filled with love, joy and of course remembrance of the Savior.
Very cool pictures Amy! You look like a celebrity in your sunglasses. I love the one with your reflection in the ornaments. So cool. It’s wonderful that Jenny and her family can be here for this part of your Christmas tradition, too bad Chris and Amy are in California (again).
Merry Pink Christmas!
What a wonderful tradition. We always opened the gifts of Jesus in our family in December. Things like eternal life, repentance, and of course, resurrection. It makes the hope of the resurrection and eternal life so much more meaningful when you have someone you want to see again. And so much more important that we have the gospel in our lives. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
What the heck- that ornament picture is too cool Amy!
Love teaching moments! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Amy. That’s a really nice tradition. It’s good that you take the opportunity to talk to your kids about your brother, and that you also visit his grave and remember him. It turns a really painful thing into a positive thing.
Those are beautiful pictures Amy. I agree that the added benefit of doing things for your brother is the converation it will spark with your girls, such a powerful lesson of the importance of eternal families.
Happy New Year Amy!

OMGosh Amy… you made me cry. I’m really not a teary person, honestly. But this has tears streaming down my face.
What a wonderful way to keep connected to your brother, to share him with your daughters and to teach them so many things.
