Yesterday during the value lesson in YW we were given a challenge to read the Book Of Mormon in 40 days. I have done this before, but it was years ago when I was pregnant with Tess. I just loved the experience. The BOM came to life and it read like a story. Each day I looked forward to reading. Each day I had the people, the characters in my thoughts. Each day I felt the spirit so close. I suppose before than I had never read it so quickly. For those who cialis cheapest consider it by a broader perspective, then you will see that this sex drive is a common mater that is faced by those men who are unable to face a proper blood circulation and enable in healing male disorder. As I was reading this morning these versus really stood out to me. It made me wonder about what will happen in the end? What will become of our country? Will there be enough righteous to hold off captivity?
2Nephi 1:6&7
Wherefore, I, Lehi, prophesy according to the workings of the Spirit
which is in me, that there shall none come into this land save they shall be brought by the hand of the Lord. Wherefore, this land is consecrated unto him whom he shall bring. And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be a land of liberty unto them; wherefore, they shall never be brought down into captivity; if so, it shall be because of iniquity; for if iniquity shall abound cursed shall be the land for their sakes, but unto the righteous it shall be blessed forever.
If you’ve never read the Book Of Mormon in a short period of time, DO IT. It is an awesome experience. You will not regret it.
Anyway I just thought I would share.
I read it last year in a 60 day challenge. It allowed me to read it twice before the end of the year, and I agree this is the best way for me to do it. I loved that it was like reading any other book for me. I forgot about how many verses or pages, and just became engulfed in the wonderful stories. Things came to me so much easier, I understood stories that I never got before. Hmm, maybe I will have to join your challenge, my 60 days always stretched to 90, but I would love to do it again. Great job
I’ve read it in a short period of time twice and have loved doing that. It always comes alive for me and I think about all the time. Also, I love how great I feel afterward. It’s a tremendous accomplishment. I think you’ll love doing that and it will be cool that you’ll be finishing it while at trek, plus that’ll be a great way to prepare for trek as well.
I’ll have to give it a try. I usually do well at the beginning, but then I let life get in the way. Will you email me the schedule?
OK, I’m doing this! I can’t wait to hear about your experiences at trek. I’m sure it will be an amazing experience.
I have done this before and I agree, it was totally different from the other times I have read it. I loved how much more it made sense to me when I read it in a short period of time. Somehow I was able to follow the stories better, make more connections, and it just felt like a really good book, not a job I had to do. How cool will that be to finish it while you’re on trek?
I have never read it in a short time, and feel tempted to try it! However I keep thinking of all the 4 books I am supposed to be reading and finishing soon! Maybe I should put this one on the top!
