01) Today the girls were out of school so we all slept in. YES!

02)Adam has been coming home after the gym to make breakfast. This is a change from the years he left the house at 6am and didn’t come back. It has been nice to see him in the mornings and often eat breakfast together.

03) A layer of ice was covering everything we saw on our walk today. It was rad.

04) I went for a walk with the Puppy this morning. The fog was so thick, but it was quiet and magical out there. I need to brave the cold more.

05) While doing morning chores Tess asked me if she could fold the clean clothes? “Uh, yes of course!” That was a first.

06) Megan finally gets it — once your violin practice is done you can do what you want. She got to work right away without me having to ask. Tender mercy!

07) Took this crew out on an adventure today. While heading to lunch before I saw this colorful wall and had to stop. My girls were a little put out, but Tess’ friend kept saying, “Your mom is so cool.” and “I can’t believe we just stopped to take pictures.” I have to say it was very validating.

08) Ice skating downtown was a hit and luckily we survived without injury.

10) We have been juggling cars this last week since my vehicle had to go in for — who knows what? Such a long story I hope has a good ending. So Adam was dropped off to where we were so we could take him home.

11) These are the types of little moments I love to capture. Tess was waiting in the car and well, this is what a kid does, yes even a 13-year-old, when they’re bored.

12) We spent the evening with a family from our mission ward eating pizza and playing games. Was such a fun night and loved the chance to make new friends.

I’ve been so thrilled to see how many people are playing along this year, especially individuals I know personally. I hope you’re all enjoying this experience. I had two people text me yesterday telling me how much they are loving it and looking at their life differently. YES! That’s what it’s all about — seeing your life in a whole new light and being grateful for what you have. I know for me personally, my experience yesterday of taking pictures has cured me of my February funk. I have been feeling lighter even since. I don’t know why I forget when I spend time looking for the good, I not only see it, but it has the power to lift me up. I hope it has the same impact on you as you continue to participate this year.

Thanks for playing along. Don’t forget to either sign up on the Facebook group and share you day or use the hashtag #12of12project on Instagram.
