01) Every morning the puppy lays at our door with her face pressed into the small crack at the base breathing loudly in hopes that we will hear and let her in. It’s quite endearing.
02) I’m not entirely sure when my girls got big enough for makeup (aka mascara), but overnight I feel like our home is brimming with teenagers. I love it and I’m scared of it at the same time. I don’t want them to grow up.
03) I attempted to go to the Salt Lake temple this morning as per Adam’s suggestion. The temple has been closed for about a month of maintenance and cleaning. Turns out Adam was wrong, it was still closed.
04) I didn’t let the Salt Lake Temple closure keep me from going. Luckily there was another one 18 minutes north. I had never been to the Bountiful temple other than a sealing (aka wedding) and I can’t say more about being there early with the morning light streaming in.
05) Megan had her parent teacher conference right after school today. She is doing really well, but could work on her citizenship — apparently she has a tendency to talk. Nothing new there.
06) Early this week the kids at the Junior High had the option to buy Valentines for their friends. There are many different levels from a card, to candy, to a rose. Bella got this rose from her good friend Jacob. They use to like each other in 7th grade, but have luckily been able to get pass the awkwardness and still be good friends.
07) Megan getting a sandwich from Jimmy Johns. She dances till 8pm on Thursdays so I will occasionally let her get a sandwich from a restaurant instead of just a pb&j at home. She doesn’t particularly like getting it on her own, but I am trying to teach her to be brave.
08) I sat there for a bit today finishing up my book for bookclub, listening to bella as she was telling me about her day and the school dance, hearing/watching Megan and a few friends run around the house. Good times.
09) I took swig cookies to bookclub tonight. They weren’t near as good as I remember.

11) The drive down to the UC was pretty congested. It was stop and go almost the entire way. By the time I got to Lori’s I had a headache.
12) We had a great discussion at bookclub. We read The Museum of Extraordinary Things. We all liked the first half, but struggled to find a reason for the rest. I didn’t love it, though I really wanted to.
It was a beautiful day here although I wasn’t feeling 100%. I think I’m getting Adam’s cold :(. Hope it was a lovely day for you all.

Have a fabulous weekend xo
